Baylor Vs. McCallie Football Recap
Nathanial Smart

亚洲体育app投注on october 2nd, 2020 the teams from both baylor and mccallie met in finley stadium to continue the tradition of the baylor-mccallie football game. and while the game may have not had a favorable outcome for big red, it ultimately signaled a larger victory for the sport.

亚洲体育app投注the baylor defense was able to hold off the mccallie offense for the greater part of the 1st quarter, keeping mccallie from making a touchdown for eight and a half minutes. mccallie went on to dominate the remainder of the 1st half, making the score 0-26 at halftime.

following performances by cheerleaders from both schools and an arrangement of songs by queen by the mccallie marching band, baylor’s offense found their strength and scored a touchdown 4 minutes into the 3rd quarter, unfortunately followed by another mccallie touchdown before the end of the game. however, in one final push, baylor managed to score one last touchdown with 5 seconds left in the game, making the final score 14-33 in favor of mccallie.

while for baylor fans and students, this may not have been the most favorable outcome, this was an important milestone for sports during the covid-19 pandemic. months ago, the question of whether or not there would be a football season was something countless fans were asking, but on that friday evening roughly 4000 people-- students, alumni, and other fans, gathered in one stadium for a classic football rivalry. thanks to masks, social distancing, and the hard work from medical professionals, we were able to enjoy a school tradition. and while circumstances both on and off the field may not have been ideal, we must remain hopeful for better next year.
